Colleen Monfre loves Jesus and His Kingdom message. She feels called to serve and to minister in His name. She loves to share the story of Jesus and His love for all. She sees church involvement as JOY.
Colleen has already served in full-time Christian ministry for more than 12 years. You can read the story of her vocational call to ordained ministry in her allegorical interpretation of "A White Heron" by Sarah Orne Jewett.
In 2015 she was ordained a Deacon in the Old Catholic Church for the Diocese of Minnesota, in Province of the United States (TOCCUSA).
DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS ED
Colleen served as the Director of Religious Education (Christian Formation Director) and Pastoral Associate for seven different congregations.
She was responsible for ministering to children, teens and adults through education and liturgy.
As the Christian Formation Director she taught and coordinated catechism classes, focusing on sacramental preparation, Christian Initiation of Adults and Bible study.
She facilitated retreats and days of reflection.
YOUTH MINISTER
Colleen has been active in youth ministry and has served as director of Summer Vacation Bible Schools.
PASTORAL ASSOCIATE
Colleen validates the personal worth of church members, students and those seeking spiritual aid.
She explores and journeys with those seeking spiritual conversion.
She listens and shared with those experiencing loss and grief.
PRAYER LEADER
Colleen ministered as a Prayer Leader and liturgical designer.
